Also, how did U manage to sleep on the island? is there a place where I can rent a tent?

  2. Hey, thanks for the fast reply!
I still don’t know exactly what day I’ll be there, as I plan to travel to a few other places before, but I will certainly get in contact with you when I’m near Malang.
My plan was to do the Bromo sunrise tour, then go to the coast and explore the beaches, about 3 days. Certainly camping one night in segoro anakan would be perfect! You see, by the time I reach your area, I will have been traveling for more than 1 week, sou woud be great to relax for 3 days. After that, I need to be in Surabaya on April 21, to catch the night train to Jakarta and Arrive in Jakrta on the 22. How many hours, from Malang to Surabaya?

    1. Just for your information that I am in Jakarta(at least 1 week before to inform me), so later you may call my son who live in Surabaya, Yudhi Setiawan +62 813 323 859 21 & +62 878 895 631 01, he is a good trekker.
      Surabaya – Malang 2 hours(+traffic Jam) ; Malang Sempu about 3 – 3,5 hours.
      Best Regards,

      1. Hey, thanks again!
Ok, I will probably arrive in Surabaya on April 16 or 17.
We want to make the Bromo sunrise tour and then go tho the Sempu island area…camp on island one night and visit one or 2 more beaches in the area. So, I’m thinking… at least 5 days in the area.
What cost you think would be involved? (Bromo tour, transporttation, camping…)
        Thanks for your help!
